Here’s a Cool Bear’s Best, Las Vegas 51s Golf/Baseball Deal

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (July 11, 2017)–Ah, yes…a round of golf during the day and taking in a professional baseball game at night. It’s an All-American day for many sports fans. And the folks at Bear’s Best Golf Club have incorporated these two pastimes into one fantastic package. A round of golf and two tickets to a Las Vegas 51s baseball game for just $51 for local Las Vegas golfers. — By Bill Bowman.

Bear’s Best is a collection of 18 golf holes from some of Jack Nicklaus’ top courses in the West. The course can reach 7,194 yards from the tips. Featuring golf holes from courses such as Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda, Mont. (along with its black-sand bunkers on the two entries here, the 4th and 11th holes) as well as the 8th hole that replicates a pine tree-lined entry from Castle Pines, Colo., the layout is one-of-a-kind.

“Just the fact that it’s a Nicklaus course makes it special,” said Jim Stanfill, general manager. “We just keep growing and growing.”

Stanfill added the creation of Bear’s Best may look easy, but it’s anything but.

“Like Mr. Nicklaus said, it’s a lot more challenging than just building a new 18-hole course. We realize we have something very special here.”

Add in specials like the golf/baseball package and more and more golfers are checking out the course–as well as the baseball.

“We’ve been running this special for several years and it’s always been well received,” Stanfill said. “You just can’t beat it.”

The deal is good for tee times after 10 a.m. any day of the week. The round of golf and the baseball game don’t have to take place on the same day as golfers will be given a voucher to be claimed for game tickets to be used at their convenience.
