Las Vegas, Nevada (September 21, 2011)--Bo Jackson could do it all on the baseball and football fields. And now the former NFL and Major League Baseball star is bringing his golf clubs to Las Vegas golf course TPC Summerlin. Jackson will join the celebrities and pros during the playing of the MGM International Resorts Championship Pro-Am. Las Vegas, Nevada (September 17, 2012)--In 2011, Michael Jordan moved his A-list celebrity golf tournament--the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational--to prestigious Las Vegas golf course Shadow Creek. It was the first time Shadow Creek had ever opened to a public event. Now comes word that the event is officially gearing up for 2012 with March 29-April 1 being announced as the dates. Last year, celebrities such as Roger Clemens, Brandi Chastain, Greg Maddux, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and many more joined Jordan at the benefit event. --By Brian Hurlburt

Las Vegas, Nevada (September 4, 2011)--NFL Hall-of-Famer Marshall Faulk is scheduled to play in the MGM Resorts International Championship Pro-Am at the 2011 Justin Timberlake Shriners  Hospitals for Children Open in September. "I am thrilled to participate in the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Pro-Am this year," said Faulk in a statement. Las Vegas, Nevada (April 4, 2011)--What the heck is a story about the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards doing on a Las Vegas golf website? It is appropriate when the namesake of the Las Vegas PGA Tour event earns the show's Big Help Award in part for his work with Las Vegas' Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Timberlake picked up the award on Saturday night, but will return to Las Vegas in October for the annual playing of the tournament. --By Brian Hurlburt.

Las Vegas, Nevada (March 16, 2010)--There is probably not much of a better way for an NFL star to spend the NFL labor lockout than playing golf in Las Vegas. That was the case for NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Ryan who played the PGA Tour-owned TPC Las Vegas on Monday with Las Vegas Golf Region resident, and PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour golfer Bob May. Ryan plays for the Atlanta Falcons and was the guest of TPC Summerlin pro Lee Smith who once worked at TPC Sugarloaf near Atlanta, where he got to know Ryan. --Staff report.

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 24, 2011)--With the season over, NFL players are spending time in Las Vegas and at least two played golf recently on a Las Vegas golf course. Matt Schaub, quarterback of the Houston Texans, and Brian Finneran, wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons played Rhodes Ranch. Schaub was the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl MVP. --Staff report.

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 7, 2011)--TPC Las Vegas is one of two Las Vegas golf courses that is owned and operated by the PGA Tour, and recently it hosted the 12^th Annual National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Celebrity Golf Tournament sponsored by Canon. In all the tournament and event prior helped raised more than $380,000 bringing the 12-year total to more than $5 million. TPC Las Vegas is known as the "home of pro golf in Las Vegas" because the PGA Tour and Champions Tour have played there plus many of the tour pros who live in Las Vegas play and practice at the course. --Staff Report.
