Image December 8, 2007--When is old, new again? In the case of Las Vegas golf course TPC Canyons--forever forward now known as TPC Las Vegas--everything old is new again. The Las Vegas golf course, a PGA Tour golf course that has hosted the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour, is re-branding itself as TPC Las Vegas, and along with it creating a new, historic and welcoming atmosphere that will celebrate ALL that is Las Vegas golf. The TPC Las Vegas name change goes into effect this month, and over the next several months many new things will debut including a museum-like clubhouse that honors the history of the PGA Tour in Las Vegas, new logos, signage and apparel. But what will stay the same is the quality Las Vegas golf experience that the TPC Canyons--er, LasVegas--has always been know for. For more ...

Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort asks, "So What Do You Do When the Sun Comes Up?"

Image December 2, 2007--The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is the home of three Pete Dye-designed Las Vegas golf courses: Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and The WOLF. It is the only 54-hole golf facility in Las Vegas golfdom, and typical Dye golf magic abounds: dazzling water features, railroad tie-accented bunkers, dogleg holes around water, and shots worth making and taking. And now the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort has launched a new 30-second Las Vegas golf video that combines Las Vegas excitement with Las Vegas golf, asking "So what do you do when the sun comes up?" Obviously, they hope the answer is play one of their three Las Vegas golf courses, and make it as they say, "Your Las Vegas golf experience." This Golf Writer Loves Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort Architect Pete Dye

Image October 30, 2007--Everyone has an opinion about legendary golf course architect Pete Dye. Some call him 'Dye-abolical' for creating seemingly too-tough golf challenges while others stand in awe of his design magic and ability to create golf beauty and intrigue with every golf course he helps develop. One WorldGolf.com writer, Tim McDonald, is of the second opinion, going so far as to say that Pete Dye is golf's 'lone design genius', and mentions Dye's Las Vegas golf courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort as among his favorite ever, specifically the Wolf Course. "Dye is my favorite golf architect," McDonald writes. "In a world of mostly blandness, Dye is a Salvador Dali. He has more imagination than any of the others. He's the one others follow. He's fearless." For more ...

Majestic Beauty of Las Vegas Golf Courses at Lake Las Vegas Resort Captured

Image October 16, 2007--It seems like yesterday that the Golden Bear Jack Nicklaus was piled into an SUV, en route to a barren, desert hillside that was to be the future site of Reflection Bay Golf Club, his first resort golf course in Nevada. In reality, it was more than a decade ago, and his vision that day helped create one of the most beautiful Las Vegas golf courses ever created. Reflection Bay Golf Club features five holes that dance along the shores of Lake Las Vegas, but the course just might be defined the holes that play in and through the desert canyons above the homes, resorts, shops and everything else that is Lake Las Vegas Resort. Local PGA Tour player Craig Barlow lists the par 5, 15th hole as his favorite, and Nicklaus says his favorite is the par 4, 7th. You can view the beauty that is Reflection Bay Golf Club by clicking here, now: Reflection Bay Golf Club photo gallery. Complete and inclusive Las Vegas golf packages are available at Lake Las Vegas Resort. For more ...

Angel Park Golf Club Again Rated Best Las Vegas Golf Courses by Readers

Image September 19, 2007--Angel Park Golf Club is billed as the World's Most Complete Golf Experience because it is the home of 45 holes of golf, a lighted practice range, all-grass putting course, restaurant with patio, and a complete pro shop. And because of those amenities (and maybe because the two Angel Park Las Vegas golf courses are designed by Arnold Palmer) earlier this year readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal selected the facility as the best Las Vegas golf course in the annual Best of Las Vegas poll for the 10th-straight year, and 13 out of the last 14 years. And the Legacy Golf Club, the sister course to Angel Park, came in second.

Caddies Show the Way at Las Vegas Golf Courses Reflection Bay and The Falls

Image September 4, 2007--Jack Nicklaus first twirled his golf course design magic in Nevada by sculpting two luxurious Las Vegas golf courses at Lake Las Vegas Resort, the famed and prestigious private resort and residential area just 35 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip. These days, a Tom Weiskopf Las Vegas golf course, The Falls (resort), has been added, and caddies are available to help guide your rounds around these Las Vegas golf courses. Carnoustie's 15th Hole Comes to Life at Las Vegas Golf Course Royal Links Golf Club

Image July 18, 2007--When esteemed golf architect Perry Dye was creating Royal Links Golf Club (inspired by the great holes used in the British Open), he and his team spent many days touring every inch of each of the golf courses used in the long history of the British Open rotation. On the trip, he took special note of Carnoustie, site of the 2007 Open Championship. Many players and experts think it is the toughest course used in the rotation, and Las Vegas golfers can experience a piece of the Carnoustie challenge when they tee it up on the par 4, 16th hole at Royal Links Golf Club, a nice replication of Carnoustie's 15th.
