Desert Rose Golf Club is a solid, fun--and most importantly--affordable, place to play golf. Green fees here never hit the triple digits (YES, you heard right!). The course was designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee, and is one of the most historic Vegas courses. At what is affectionately called "The Rose", there are two distinct nine hole journeys. The front nine is a bit narrow and a wash cuts the course in two while the back feels more open and lush. In fact, we at golflasvegasnow.com think the back 9 at Desert Rose is one of the more enjoyable Vegas golf experiences.

The short par 4, 11th hole plays next to a lake while the long par 3, 12th plays adjacent to the same lake. Both holes offer a lot of intrigue, and standout at Desert Rose.

Desert Rose finishes with a par 3, the only course in the Las Vegas area to do so. The hole is very short, but bunkers are well placed and par is a terrific score.

Desert Rose opened in 1964 and was originally called Winterwood. The local who’s who of golf grew up playing the course, and the facility is still home to a very loyal following.

Desert Rose is one of four American Golf Corporation golf courses in Southern Nevada (special deals can be found if you book them together). The other courses are Las Vegas National Golf Club, Las Vegas Golf Club and Painted Desert Golf Club.
