In a recent article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, it was stated that when it comes to college bragging rights on the PGA Tour, no one comes close to former UNLV Rebel players. A survey was done and it shows that the top four Rebel alumni combine for an average world ranking of 51.5, far better than the top four players from second-place Arizona State University.

And Tiger's Stanford University is way down the list. The UNLV Mens Golf team is one of the best college program's in the country, and they serve as a source of pride for the close-knit Las Vegas golf community.The Rebels foursome would be made up of Adam Scott (3), Chad Campbell (35), Ryan Moore (75) and Charley Hoffman (93). The number in the parentheses is their world ranking as the writing of the article.

This foursome has combined for eight career PGA Tour victories including Hoffman's recent win at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. The only non-winner is Moore, who arguably had the best amateur career in the history of golf, and became one of a handful of college players to earn status on the PGA Tour without going through the rigourous Qualifying School.

The UNLV Rebels home Las Vegas Golf Course is the private Southern Highlands Golf Club, but they have access at many of the area's best golf courses including Rio Secco, Cascata, Shadow Creek, Bear's Best, Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, Bali Hai, Royal Links, WYNN, TPC Summerlin and Las Vegas Country Club, among others.
