Former UNLV Rebel Chad Campbell advanced to the quarterfinals of the Accenture World Match Play Championship being played in Arizona. He defeated David Toms in a close match that ended when Toms missed his short putt on the final hole. Campbell will play Stephen Ames. Campbell played on many Las Vegas golf courses as a Rebel including Shadow Creek, TPC Canyons and others.

The streak of seven straight PGA Tour wins for Tiger Woods also came to an end on the 20th hole when Nick O' Hern made a long par putt to beat Woods. A hole earlier, O' Hern watched as Woods missed a short birdie putt that would have given Woods the victory. And the second longest winning streak in history is over because of a ball mark.

"I was so enthralled with the line, I didn't see the ball mark," Tiger said about the mark that was in his line on the short birdie putt on the 19th hole. "I knew if I hit it left-center, the match would be over. It's my fault for not paying attention to detail."

Tiger won his first PGA Tour event at the Las Vegas Invitational in 1996.
