UNLV Rebel golf star, junior Jarred Texter, has been named Co-Golfer of the Month by the Mountain West Conference along with Colorado State player Aaron Weston. Texter had top 10 finishes a the PING Arizona Intercollegiate and the Burns Invitational in Hawaii.

The UNLV Golf team hosts the Southern Highlands Collegiate event March 9-11 at its home course, the exclusive and prestigious Southern Highlands Golf Club that was the last course designed by the father and son duo of Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Sr. The Rebels also have access to some of the area's other great courses including Rio Secco Golf Club, Bali Hai Golf Club, Las Vegas Country Club, TPC Summerlin and others.

Texter has recorded a scoring average of 69.17 in the last two events, including four rounds under par. For the season, he has a scoring average of 70.72 for the seventh-ranked Rebels.
