 April 18, 2007--Painted Desert Golf Club was the first true desert golf course built in Southern Nevada, and today, some 20 years later, its player friendly fairways and 'hittable' desert waste areas are still a pleasure to play, maybe even more so because the vegetation has matured around the course, enhancing the desert beauty and intrigue during every round. Current PGA Tour player Robert Gamez, who grew up in Las Vegas, holds the course record of 62 at the par 72 course that has been used in the rotation of the Nevada Open. This Las Vegas golf course is a Jay Morrish design.
