May 19, 2007--What? Are you crazy? You're going to play Las Vegas golf course Badlands Golf Club? Is your health and life insurance paid up? Have you packed twelve dozen golf balls? Do you have canteens of water in case you get stuck out in the middle of the course, in the 'Badlands'? Have you notified the authorites of your exact plans and where you will be on the course in case rescue needs to be sent in? While some of these questions are a bit of an exaggeration (a bit?), the fact is that a lot of golfers out there, when the Badlands is mentioned, run for cover and think that the sky is hailing Titleists. But have no fear, you will survive--and probably thrive--after your Las Vegas golf Badlands experience. The Badlands being too tough is just a perception according to the majority opinion of comments from golfers on greenskeeper.org. The overall reality of the comments is that this course is a fun and challenging Las Vegas golf experience. And the overall rating on the website is 7.4, which falls in the great category.  "Played here 5/7/07 Desperado/Outlaw courses. Don't use your DRIVER on the Desperado course. This course is target golf, Just (use) your 3 wood because of how your ball will roll after you hit it. Must be good with your irons or you will lose a lot of balls. Outlaw, you can use your Driver on a lot of holes. Fairways carry your ball an extra 25-75 yards, depending on how high you hit it. The greens were hard and fast. You must hit short of the green in order for the ball to stay on. Every ball I hit on the green rolled off. Playing here again in June. great course."
