Image July 14, 2007--In 1938, the small, desert city of Las Vegas welcomed its first 9 holes of golf with the opening of Las Vegas Golf Club, designed by legendary golf course builder William P. Bell. Ever since, the course has been one of the busiest and friendliest in the city that glitters. The lighted range is always jumping with kids and other true golfers, and the 18 holes of today are shadowed by mature trees, and many memories. Plus, the Las Vegas Golf Club rates are some of the best you'll find here, and through the summer begin at $39.

When the Las Vegas Golf Club opened in 1938, it was simply known as “The Muni.” It was the first golf course in Las Vegas, and opened with only nine holes. In 1947, nine more holes were added, giving Las Vegas Golf Club the layout it has today. Located in the heart of Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Golf Club is the oldest golf course in Las Vegas. Any golfer who grew up in Las Vegas or lived here during its “heyday” has stepped foot upon its turf.

The course was designed by the legendary William P. Bell, and although the design at Las Vegas Golf Club is now considered antiquated in today’s new era of desert-style courses, we feel “The Muni” still provides a very enjoyable round of golf while offering players the chance to experience an authentic piece of Las Vegas history.
