This Las Vegas golf course jewel that is located in the billion-dollar, exclusive Lake Las Vegas Resort, was the first public resort Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course in Nevada, and completely lives up to the reputation of the architect. Five holes grace the beautiful shoreline of the private Lake Las Vegas, highlighted by the par 3, seventeenth hole that plays to a near island green and the par 5, eighteenth hole that hugs the water down the entire right side of the hole. There are three waterfalls, beaches and many palm trees all combining to separate the Reflection Bay Golf Club experience. Reflection Bay Golf Club is one of three Las Vegas golf courses at Lake Las Vegas Resort. The other Las Vegas golf courses are the private SouthShore Golf Club (Jack Nicklaus) and the resort The Falls Golf Club (Tom Weiskopf).

"I play out of Lake Las Vegas Resort, and have access to all of the courses, but the one I play the most is Reflection Bay Golf Club," says Craig Barlow, 8-year PGA Tour veteran. "It is beautiful, but what I like is the challenge it provides on the approach shots. The key to success at Reflection Bay is positoning for the shots to the green, and then executing them. Nicklaus etched this Las Vegas golf course out of the rugged desert, and came up with a true Oasis. It was an artistic endeavor for the Golden Bear, and he took special care in plotting each bunker, fairway and green. Since opening in 1998, the course has been awarded many different accolades including America’s Top 75 Golf Destinations by Golf Medalist by GOLF Magazine, America’s Top 100 golf communities by Travel and Leisure, best new upscale course by Golf Digest, and best overall experience by VegasGolfer Magazine plus many others.

Reflection Bay Golf Club is also the home of the pros because LPGA Tour sensation Natalie Gulbis plays and practices here as does the 8-year PGA Tour veteran Craig Barlow. Gulbis also lives on one of the Reflection Bay Golf Club fairways.

The official Nicklaus Design course description of Reflection Bay Golf Club reads: “Crafted along the northern shore of the lake, every contour of this imaginative course is a rare reflection of the mind of a master. Five holes stretch along a mile and a half of peaceful shoreline, with emerald greens embracing the hillside property of the luxurious Loews Resort. Measuring 7,184-yards, Jack has designed each of the par-72 golf course's holes to be distinctive and memorable, including five holes stretching along a mile and a half of shoreline and the 200-yard, par-3 eighth which showcases a peninsula jutting out into Lake Las Vegas.”

In casual moments, Nicklaus has called the par 4, 455-yard 7^th hole that plays into the lake (the first of the lake holes) his favorite because it was inspired by his experiences at the British Open. The hole requires a precise tee ball before a knock-down shot is played into the bunker-guarded green.

Annually, Reflection Bay Golf Club hosts the Wendy’s Three-Tour Challenge, an event that pits each of the three tours (LPGA, PGA and Champions) against each other.
