January 16, 2008--In his PGA Tour guide personal section Charley Hoffman, a member of the 1998 UNLV Golf team that won the NCAA title and a current Las Vegas resident, lists appearing on the nationally-syndicated Jim Rome Radio Show--known as The Jungle--as one of his major accomplishments in 2007. Another one? How about winning the 2007 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, good for his first PGA Tour win. And so far in 2008, Hoffman has made appearance number two in The Jungle, and this week is set to defend his title over the five days of the Hope, played January 16-20 in Rancho Mirage, California. Lopez loves Hoffman's hair and had some ideas for a very large cutout of Hoffman that rests on tournament grounds.

"You know what I thought would have been the greatest," Lopez said at a press conference on Tuesday. "And I only thought it have right now. I hope he repeats. (And) That cardboard cutout of him on the tent? I'm going to get hair, hair that flows in the wind and attach it to his cardboard cutout.  Charley Hoffman is what's great about (this tournament). (He) and Jeff Quinney battled it out last year in the wind, Charley went birdie, eagle, birdie, to win, played some amazing golf.  And it was fun. This year it may be another young guy. It may be a guy who is further on in his career. I think that's what's going to make it exciting."
