February 8, 2008--Danny Gans, the Many of Many Voices and the founder of the Danny Gans Junior Golf Academy that is located at several Las Vegas golf courses, is at it again at the annual Celebrity/Golf fiesta known as the ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Gans was one of the featured stars of the CBS television telecast last year, and is already attracting the cameras in '08, notably 'channeling' Jack Nicholson after missing a putt, and then exclaiming that he would need to take anger management classes with Rory Sabbatini. Gans, playing with Mathais Gronberg, is one of many Las Vegas golfers playing in the field that includes Bill Walters, owner of several Las Vegas golf courses, and 11 PGA Tour players who live in Las Vegas or have strong Las Vegas golf ties. Las Vegas Review-Journal celebrity reporter NORM! revealed some more of Gans' Pebble Beach experiences that included performing as part of a show that entertained the event's 2,000 volunteers, and then being invited to Clint Eastwood's annual house party with other celebrities such as Ray Romano, Kenny G. and others. Click now for the complete NORM! Danny Gans article. The eleven Las Vegas PGA Tour players are Robert Gamez (grew up here), John Riegger (Henderson resident), Charley Hoffman (former UNLV player and current resident), Ryan Moore (former UNLV player and current resident), Alex Cjeka (Summerlin resident), Skip Kendall (former UNLV player), Nick Watney (Henderson resident), Craig Barlow (Native and resident), Dean Wilson (resident), Bob May (resident) and Chris Riley (former UNLV player who just recently moved back to San Diego after living here). This event was orginally created by the late Bing Crosby and was affectionately called the Clambake, a reference to the parties that Crosby used to throw that became the talk of the PGA Tour. Other celebrities teeing it up this week include George Lopez, Kevin James, Romano, Tom Dreeson, Huey Lewis, Dan Marino, Drew Brees, Kevin Costner, Glen Frey, Lynn Swan and many more. Las Vegas PGA Tour event officials are hoping for a similar infusion of the A List crowd now that megastar Justin Timberlake has been named host of the this year's Las Vegas PGA Tour golf event, this year to be played October 16-19 exclusively at private Las Vegas golf course TPC Summerlin. The event will be called the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. A celebrity event will be played on Wednesday, October 15, before the start of the official Las Vegas PGA Tour event.
