Las Vegas, Nevada (August 16, 2011)--Las Vegas' GolfOdds.com has released the official PGA Tour betting odds for the 2011 Wyndham Championship. What makes the event interesting is that this is the final chance for golfers to earn points and qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. David Toms is listed as the favorite but other big names are on the outside and looking in, and according to the betting experts are in "poor form". --By Brian Hurlburt, Odds by Jeff Sherman.
"This is the Last week for golfers to qualify for the 4-event playoff and some big name golfers on the outside looking in such as Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, Paul Casey and Angel Cabrera," says Sherman, the founder of Las Vegas' GolfOdds.com. "And most of them are in poor form ... and there are plenty of other big name golfers in poor form too such as Jim Furyk, Anthony Kim and Ian Poulter." Els is 50/1, Harrington is 50/1, Casey is 60/1, Cabrera is 80/1, Furyk is 30/1, Kim is 40/1, and Poulter is 40/1. Click to Las Vegas' GolfOdds.com for all updated numbers.

Toms is also listed atop Rob Bolton's official PGATour.com Power Rankings and followed by Brandt Snedeker (25/1 in the GolfOdds.com numbers). One interesting note is that Bolton listed Anthony Kim as 10th in the Power Rankings taking a different approach than Sherman who believes Kim is out of form.
About Toms Bolton writes: "(He has) top 10s the last two weeks, including a T4 at the PGA Championship. Now has six top 10s in 17 starts. Superb fit at Sedgefield, ranking 18th in strokes gained-putting, eighth in birdie average, seventh in adjusted scoring and second in the all-around. As for Kim: "Has shown flashes of late, with a T5 at the British Open and a T14 at The Greenbrier, where he posted a bogey-free 62 in the third round. Regardless of previous experience, should never be overlooked when low scores and putting dominate."
