Official Las Vegas PGA Tour Betting Odds: 2011 Children's Miracle Network Features Donald, Simpson

Las Vegas, Nevada (October 18, 2011)--The final official PGA Tour event in 2011 will feature a clash of two heavyweights who are also the Las Vegas golf odds betting favorites. The Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals Classic in Florida has both Luke Donald and Webb Simpson in the field, each trying to lay claim to the top spot on the official money list. Donald opened 8/1 to win while Simpson is 10/1 in the official betting odds as released by Las Vegas' GolfOdds.com. --By Brian Hurlburt, odds by Jeff Sherman.

"Usually this season ending PGA Tour stop is all about which golfers will earn their cards for next year via top 125 of the money list," says Jeff Sherman, founder of GolfOdds.com. "This year has the added intrigue of a battle between Luke Donald and Webb Simpson for the Money List title. The two golfers come in as the tournament favorites. The winner will have to go low as birdies will be plentiful. After this tournament, there are a few weeks abroad before heading into the offseason events."

Rob Bolton, who writes the official Power Rankings at PGATour.com, lists Justin Rose as the favorite followed by Donald, Spencer Levin and Simpson. Of the tournament, Bolton writes the following: "For the first time in the five-year history of the Fall Series, the golfers ranked first and second in the money list will tee it up at the season-ending Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic. Webb Simpson leads Luke Donald by $363,029 entering the 41st annual stop at Walt Disney World. If Donald wins this week, to claim the money title as well he'll need Simpson to finish with a two-way share of second place or worse. If Donald doesn't win, Simpson can shut out the Englishman with a three-way tie for seventh or solo eighth."

Other notables in the Las Vegas golf betting odds include Rose (15/1), Levin (25/1), Gary Woodland (20/1) and Charles Howell III (25/1). The top golfer with strong ties to Las Vegas golf courses is Scott Piercy at 60/1. A featured matchup is Donald -150 vs. Simpson +130.
