Las Vegas, Nevada (May 30, 2012)--Luke Donald is making waste to professional golfers all over the globe. Not surprisingly, the PGA Tour odds and betting experts in Las Vegas have taken notice. He opened 10/1 to win Jack Nicklaus Memorial, the favorite over the likes of Rory McIlroy (12/1), Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, and Justin Rose (each 15/1). Bolton on Donald: "Fresh off a four-stroke romp and title defense of the BMW PGA Championship, his sixth victory worldwide in 15 months. Top 15s in his last three trips to Muirfield Village, including a T7 last year. Ranks sixth on the PGA TOUR in birdies or better on par 5s." Donald has won six times combined between the 2011 season and the early portion of the 2012 season.
Donald on Muirfield Village course: "Last year it played faster towards the end of the week. I think the course is in good shape right now. The fairways have some run in them, they're not overly fast, but they're generous enough where you think you can afford to have these fairways quite firm. The greens are‑‑ again, there's one pretty good bounce at the beginning but then it'll stop. But I think overall the course is in a good place right now. It's going to‑‑ that's going to be the hardest thing for me coming from Wentworth. The greens were significantly slower with a lot less break. And just playing today in the morning, you know, it's a whole different adjustment on the greens. The ball was just breaking so much more. You really have to feed the ball in from the high side, and that's going to be a little bit of adjustment. I'll do a bunch of work on the putting green when I'm done here."
