Las Vegas, Nevada (July 2, 2012)--With Tiger Woods winning his third PGA Tour event of the 2012 season, the Las Vegas betting public and experts are moving quickly. According to Jeff Sherman, the founder of Las Vegas' GolfOdds.com, Woods' Vegas betting odds have been slashed in half for the British Open Championship, from 10/1 to 5/1. "With Tiger winning 2 of his last 3 tournaments, and 3 for the 2012 season, his supporters will be in full swing for the British Open," says Sherman, who is also the assistant director of the LVH Superbook. "His odds were slashed in half from 10/1 to 5/1 after his AT&T National victory, in anticipation of this. But I still believe the British Open is really wide open, as the European continegent comes into play on the links style courses."

"It's going to be totally different shot making and prep," Woods told the media about the upcoming Open following his win at the AT&T National. "I'm going to play next week, and then I'm going to have to start practicing some different shots and getting used to hitting the ball a little bit lower, a little bit more flighted. It's a totally different game playing links golf. But I still have to have the ability to get the ball up in the air. That's something that we're going to work on. I've got a week‑‑ basically two weeks, but one week of prep prior to the Open, and we'll get after it."
