LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Jan. 31, 2017)–The Golf Summerlin family of three golf courses (Highland Falls, Palm Valley and Eagle Crest) gives players a wide variety of options. Well, you can add in a fourth option as stay-and-play packages with the Suncoast Hotel & Casino offer visitors (along with locals) the chance to have a relaxing home base just a few minutes from the courses and all at prices that are wallet-friendly. –By Bill Bowman

The working arrangement between Golf Summerlin and the Suncoast went live on Jan. 17, 2017.

“We’re excited to team up with the Suncoast,” said Donny Long, director of golf for Golf Summerlin. “I think it’s going to be a great success. I’m really looking forward to the chance to see a lot of new faces.”

All three courses are basically 10-15 minutes from the Suncoast meaning you’ll spend less time on the road to the golf courses and more time enjoying the courses and the resort.

Eagle Crest is an executive course that will test players’ short game. With a variety of par 3s highlighting the par-60 course (ranging from a simple 115 yards to a daunting 224 yards), players will definitely use every club in the bag.

At Highland Falls, players will experience a course that is full of elevation changes. Add in strategically placed water features and bunkers and you’ve got a layout that will test players’ accuracy both off the tee as well as on approach shots.

Palm Valley’s par 5s (especially the opening and closing holes on the course) will bring smiles to the big hitters in your group as there are definite chances to go for the green in two. But beware of the hazards that can wreak havoc on scorecards.

“Players will find great conditions at all three courses, especially for our price point,” Long said.

The Suncoast is home to 388 newly remodeled guest rooms along with 39 newly remodeled lavish suites.

And when you get hungry, there are dining options such as SC Prime Steakhouse and Bar, Salvatore’s (an Italian delight) or casual dining at spots like Brigg’s Oyster Co., the St. Tropez Buffet or Fan’s Sports Bar.

And after the round, grab a drink and test your luck (or skill?) as there are gaming options from poker to table games to bingo to the sports book.
