November 20, 2007--Las Vegas golfer Tommy Armour III won the Pebble Beach Invitational over the weekend, and did so with a bag full of Titleist gear and equipment. In his bag were Titleist Forged 680 irons with Dynamic Gold SL shafts, a Titleist 907D prototype driver (8.5 degrees with a Diamana 73 shaft), Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Wedges (54 and 60 degrees with Dynamic Gold SL shafts), and he used a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball and a Titleist Players glove. Through November 26th at Las Vegas Golf and Tennis you can visit the tent sale and check out special deals on all Las Vegas golf equipment and gear, including Titleist. The win was the first for Armour III since he won the 2003 Texas Valero Open. The Pebble Beach Invitational isn't an official PGA Tour event, but the $60,000 check he earned still cashes the same. The irons like Armour's are available as a custom order only, but both visiting and local Las Vegas golfers can see the line of other Titleist products at Las Vegas Golf and Tennis plus other tremendous deals on Las Vegas golf equipment. About the irons The Forged 680 irons are a traditional, compact, reduced offset blade iron targeted at the player that wants a smaller head for shot workability and trajectory control. They feature a slightly higher muscle back configuration than the 690.MB irons, which produces a slightly flatter ball flight with enhanced workability. About the design Muscle back blade with a classic profile, thin topline and shallow heel. Reduced bounce and moderate camber for better players who pick the ball with a shallow angle of attack. Armour III grew up in Las Vegas and graduated from Bishop Gorman High School. His grandfather was known as the Silver Scot for his great play on the golf course while his father is an accomplished doctor in Las Vegas.
