Image March 18, 2009--Recently, in the national news, President Barack Obama and other national leaders have singled out Las Vegas as a symbol of corporate greed, implying that companies should not bring business to Las Vegas. But those comments--some taken out of context--don't reveal all that Las Vegas and its golf courses have to offer as a business destination. "The Las Vegas market is facing a challenging time with regard to being perceived as a destination where spending company funds to conduct business is a no-no plus leisure travelers are staying closer to home," says Dennis Piekarski, Director of Sales and Marketing for The Revere Golf Club, the home of two championship Las Vegas golf courses. "But Las Vegas is more than just gambling and night clubs. We are a destination where many of the top golf courses in the United States are located, and good business does get done here."

Pierkarski is not alone in his sentiment that golf and Las Vegas go hand-in-hand in offering big business benefits while also helping folks rejuvenate in challenging times. "Golf is not only a sport, it is a way of life," says Piekarski. "Golf brings families together for a day of enjoyment, and also allows you to spend time with key business customers for 4-5 hours of undivided attention." The Revere is home to Las Vegas golf courses Lexington and Concord, both designed by World Golf Hall-of-Famer Billy Casper and noted golf course architect Greg Nash.
