Pete Dye's Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort Goes Platinum With Deal

Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort's 15th hole features an island green on the Wolf Course LAS VEGAS (March 4, 2010)--It’s every golfer’s dream: Play country-club quality courses at any time without an initiation fee. No way? Well, there is a Las Vegas golf course among the 50 area layouts that offers just that opportunity—the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. And actually, there are three courses at the resort and with the Platinum Club card, players have all of their golf costs paid up front for an entire year.—By Bill Bowman

And yes, the golf is free. There is no hidden cart fee or other costs. Range practice is free. Players pay the flat fee and can tee it up seven days a week, virtually 365 days a year. Guests of the player also receive preferred rates and there are many other incentives. “People who play golf three to four times a week see great value in paying upfront for their golf,” says Greg Brockelman, head professional at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort of the Platinum Card which costs $6,000. Do the math and if you play just twice a week for $100 per round, that’s $10,400, a savings of more than $4,000. Not to mention the cost savings for your guests. “And people who play a little less can get our PACC (Paiute Advantage Club Card) which offers great discounts for themselves and their guests,” Brockelman adds.

And the three courses at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort are all Pete Dye masterpieces. The Wolf is the cornerstone layout featuring an island green 15th that will test the mettle of everyone in your group. The Snow Mountain, the original course, and Sun Mountain course, the second course designed, feature wide, undulating fairways. All three courses have risk/reward holes that will let the aggressive players take a chance at that elusive eagle.

Play golf all day on Snow or Sun Mountain for $169 which includes lunch and 50 percent off rentals ($199 for Wolf). So book that first tee time and get set for a great day of golf. And if you’re playing more than one day at the resort, they will be happy to store your clubs overnight and have them set up for you the next day.

The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is also home to two practice areas, one by the Wolf and one between the Sun Mountain and Snow Mountain layouts. The large restaurant area offers not only fine dining but panoramic golf course views. Have a wedding, anniversary or other special occasion coming up? The folks at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort can handle all of the details of the event…including the golf. “This is just a great golf destination,” says Brockelman. “It’s quiet…there’s clean air…we’ve got great views. And we have 54 holes of golf.” And that’s a big factor, especially for those members. “There are times at 18-hole facilities where you might not be able to play. Here, with three courses, you have much more access to courses.”
