February 14, 2009--Wolf Creek Golf Club is located about 77 miles from Las Vegas in the mini-golf mecca of Mesquite, Nevada, but is a part of what we call the Las Vegas golf region. The course, known as one of the most challenging and beautiful in the area, has a long resume filled with impressive awards, and recently added to the list. Wolf Creek Golf Club was named 14th favorite on a list of the Top 50 public golf courses in the U.S. as voted by readers of Golfworld. Wolf Creek Golf Club earned a score of 83.60 on a scale of 100, just about six points behind the top course on the list, the RTJ Golf Trail at Grand National in Alabama. But Wolf Creek scored very close to nine points (out of 10) across the board in what appear to be the most important voting categories, quality of course, condition of course, and overall reputation and prestige. In fact, Wolf Creek scored higher in several of those categories than golf courses ranked above them on the list.

Wolf Creek didn't fare as well in a couple of minor categories (pace of play and practice facilities) or the course could've ranked well within the top 10. But golfers should look more to the excellent rankings because playing Wolf Creek Golf Club, carved out of the canyons and desert that overlooks Mesquite (thus causing long cart drives between holes, therefore pressing the pace of play issue) is a very memorable golf experience.

They have said that Wolf Creek is basically "a fantasy course in real life", and therefore decided to add it to the game and not create a fictional fantasy layout.
