And this Las Vegas golf region facility has become the annual home for the Fat Boy Open presented by the Nevada Beverage Company on August 24, 2013. This golf event benefits the Peoples Autism Foundation, and is a fun-filled day with big--literally and figuratively--golfers stepping up to the tee for a great cause. Four-player teams are encouraged to weigh in at 900+ pounds, or pay a penalty of $40 with the "fine" going to the charity. Las Vegas, Nevada (May 17, 2013)--The annual Kick Off Your Heels Luncheon sponsored by Wells Fargo at TPC Summerlin is becoming a huge tradition during PGA Tour golf week in Las Vegas. Las Vegas, Nevada (May 9, 2013)--There are three Las Vegas golf courses at Golf Summerlin, and on Saturday May 18, several NFL players are scheduled to play Palm Valley Golf Club as part of a benefit Las Vegas golf tournament for the A Level Playing Field Foundation. Among the players are Gus Frerotte, and Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Rogers and Eric Crouch. The event will raise funds to support the Rancho High School football program. Las Vegas, Nevada (March 25, 2013)--The annual Tiger Jam, a major fundraiser for the Tiger Woods Foundation, hits Las Vegas May 17-18 and the featured concert will be Kid Rock. Tiger Jam has made its home in Las Vegas for many years, and includes the concert, a gourmet dinner with charity auction, a poker event, golf outings at Las Vegas golf course Cascata, and other events. Las Vegas, Nevada (February 28, 2013)--Cascata is about as good as it gets for the Las Vegas Golf Region. Golfers cherish the opportunity to tee it up at this Top 100 golf courses which has earned 29 out of 30 points from the prestigious ZAGAT survey. And now the annual benefit golf tournament for the Coronado High School football program is scheduled at the course on June 24, 2013. Las Vegas, Nevada (September 26, 2012)--Charley Hoffman is a Las Vegas Golf Region resident who helped lead UNLV to the NCAA team championship in 1998. He has made his home in Las Vegas, along with wife Stacy, ever since. Hoffman is dedicated to helping Las Vegas charities and annually hosts the Charley Hoffman Foundation Pro-Am and golf clinic in conjunction with the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
