The private Las Vegas Country Club is a legend among Las Vegas golf courses. Built in 1967, and opened by Marvin Kratter of Nevada Equities, the course has had several different owners over the years. Website.
The club was opened under the name Las Vegas International Golf Club, but then changed to the Bonanza Country Club and Corral when it was sold to the Bonanza Hotel. In 1970, the club was sold to the four partners in Paradise Development (legendary Vegas figures Moe Dalitz, Harry Lahr, Nate Adelson and Irwin Molasky.
The name of the club was changed to Las Vegas Country Club, and in 1973 became private. The club is a true equity club, and has hosted PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events.
The course designer was Edmond B. Ault. A coffee table history book is being published by the members in the fall of 2011.
