Las Vegas, Nevada (May 19, 2011)--Cancer impacts all of us. As such, it impacts all college coaches in some way as well. That is the reason several college coaches--and country Star Toby Keith and former major leaguer Roger Clemens are descending on Las Vegas golf courses for the annual Coaches Vs. Cancer Las Vegas Golf Classic. Even Lon Kruger, who recently left hometown UNLV for Oklahoma, is returning as the chair of the tournament. --By Brian Hurlburt.

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 20, 2011)--Pete Dye's Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort has become THE home for the ESPN National Golf Challenge, a large amateur and pro tournament that culminates with the finals in Las Vegas at these Las Vegas golf courses October 13-15.  The tagline for the event is "looking for America's Best Twosome". Her parents raised her to care, and given her position as an LPGA Tour superstar, it is easy for her to reach out and pick up others. And that will again be happening as Gulbis is first scheduled to play for the LPGA Tour team at the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge November 9 at Las Vegas' Rio Secco Golf Club, before hosting the Natalie Gulbis Golf Classic at Rio Secco on December 15. Las Vegas, Nevada (October 15, 2010)--Southern Highlands Golf Club is a private club home to a Las Vegas golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Sr. The Club also serves as the home facility for the UNLV Men's college golf team, a perennial power. The course is the crown jewel of the Southern Highlands master-planned community. And it is a past host to Las Vegas' PGA Tour event, and annually is the site for several Las Vegas charity golf tournaments to help raise funds for worthy causes. Behind the rise of most PGA Tour players to golf's highest level is a long trail of mini-tour events, where they struggled from event to event and prize check to prize check. Now the new National Professional Golf Tour, presented by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, is a mini tour that is stressing convenience and affordability as to why aspiring pros should be playing in NPGT tournaments. And the inaugural NPGT National Open is coming to Las Vegas' Primm Valley Golf Club, the home of two Tom Fazio Las Vegas golf courses. --By Brian Hurlburt.

September 30, 2010--The Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge, a Las Vegas golf tournament that features 3-golfer teams from the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and Champions Tour playing against each other, is back at Las Vegas' Rio Secco Golf Club. And the management of the event announced yesterday that the Champions Tour team will be Bernhard Langer, Kenny Perry and Nick Price. Price is a Wendy's 3-Tour veteran, but both Perry and Langer will be making their first appearances, kind of. Perry did play in 2008 but as a member of the PGA Tour team, while Langer has never played in the event. --By Brian Hurlburt.
