Las Vegas PGA Tour Golf Event To Feature Youth Clinic by Butch Harmon and Justin Timberlake

October 2, 2009--The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open presents a Youth Clinic 2-3 p.m. Sunday, October 11 at TPC Summerlin. Hosted by Justin Timberlake and Butch Harmon, young golfers will learn the fundamentals of the game through a demonstration of basic skills and techniques. The event is free and open to the public and the first 500 attendees will receive complimentary Mollicoolz Shakers™, a single serving treat of tiny ice cream beads that produce a sweet tasty milkshake when combined with milk.

Last year's clinic also featured appearances by 4-time Cy Young Award Winner and Las Vegas resident Greg Maddux and PGA Tour star Fred Couples, among others. Harmon has been recognized for 10-straight years as the Top Golf Instructor on a poll of his peers conducted by Golf Digest. The 2009 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is the ongoing commitment between Timberlake and Shriners Hospitals for Children to continue the tradition of a PGA TOUR event in Las Vegas.  The collaboration between Shriners Hospitals for Children and Timberlake to act as Title Sponsor and Host creates a truly unique and world-class event for players and fans alike.  A host of well-known golfers will participate in the competition to help support the mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children while enjoying the signature flair that Las Vegas has to offer.

The 2009 tournament is October 11-18 at the TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. The defending champion is Marc Turnesa. Other golfers scheduled to play in Las Vegas include 3-time Las Vegas champion Jim Furyk, Las Vegas residents Charley Hoffman, Craig Barlow, and Chris Riley, and other top PGA Tour players. Timberlake is also headlining a major concert at the Mandalay Bay on the Saturday of tournament week that will feature Ciara, TLC and Taylor Swift, among other acts. Shriners Hospitals for Children is an international health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs.
