Las Vegas, Nevada (February 20, 2011)--Pete Dye's Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort has become THE home for the ESPN National Golf Challenge, a large amateur and pro tournament that culminates with the finals in Las Vegas at these Las Vegas golf courses October 13-15. The tagline for the event is "looking for America's Best Twosome". Coming April 30 is the chance for all Las Vegas golfers to try and qualify at the Paiute for the Finals. --By Brian Hurlburt.
This will the fifth time that the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort has hosted the ESPN National Golf Challenge Finals, this year sponsored by Under Armour Golf. Baker Maddera, head pro at Rock Spring Golf Club in West Orange, New Jersey, loves the tournament as do his members: "As a participant in the Club Pro event, Wow ! It was the best event I played in last year. The facility at Paiute, the accommodations at Treasure Island, and the officials for ESPN were fantastic. The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is the home to three Las Vegas golf courses that were designed by World Golf Hall of Famer Pete Dye. They are the only signature Dye designs in the Las Vegas Golf Region.
The event is open to golfers with a USGA handicap. The qualifier at Paiute is $99 for Player's Club members and $119 for the general public. The entry fee includes includes green fee, cart fee, practice facility, $30 Under Armour gift card, 1 dozen Callaway Golf Balls, and 1 year subscription to Golf Magazine.
