Former Las Vegas Junior Golfer Mackenzie Mack Publishes Book, Gives Back to Game

Las Vegas, Nev. (Feb. 23, 2015)—It seems like it was just yesterday that Mackenzie Mack  was toiling in the fairways of Las Vegas golf courses as a high school student. Flash forward some 10 years and the transformation from a student looking for a path to follow to a woman leading others down a path to success is impressive. She is now an author and has started organizations that help youth get into the game just the way she did. --By Bill Bowman

Pete Dye and Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort Celebrate 20th Anniversary

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 23, 2015)--It's hard to believe, but it has been 20 years since the legendary golf course architect Pete Dye twirled his design magic and opened his first golf course in Las Vegas. But that is the case as the Snow Mountain course at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort celebrates 20 years as a shining star on the Las Vegas Golf Region when it opens for play Tuesday, February 24. The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is now home to the only three Pete Dye signature courses in the area, but it all started with the original, Snow Mountain. --By Brian Hurlburt.

Sold-Out Golf Channel Am Tour Duel In The Desert Showcases Pete Dye Courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort

Las Vegas, Nev. (Feb. 7, 2015)--OK, so you missed out on this year’s Golf Channel Amateur Tour’s Duel in the Desert Golf Tournament at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. The 432-player event was the fourth-straight sell-out. The timing is always perfect as the event takes place three days before Super Bowl Sunday. The two-person tournament allowed the resort to show off the only three Pete Dye signature Las Vegas golf courses to the world. It was just one more event in a long list that choose to make Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort home. --By Bill Bowman

Mountain West Video Highlights How UNLV Golf Is Pipeline to the PGA TOUR

Good Golf Deeds Don't Go Unnoticed In Mesquite, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada (January 25, 2015)--It's never too late to spread the good cheer that happens around the holidays. And there was plently of good cheer created in December in Mesquite, Nevada, a golf destination located about 77 miles north of Las Vegas. Golf Mesquite Nevada, a marketing co-op of championship golf courses and luxurious resorts in the area, was a sponsor of the 10th annual Golf Fore Kids tournament , which benefits local youth at Christmas time each year. Golfers donated 116 bikes and 42 scooters, and the estimated value of toys and cash donations for 2014 exceeded $47,000. Over the 10 years, the tournament has raised approximately $385,000 of toys, bikes and cash which has been distributed to under privileged children in the Mesquite area. --By Brian Hurlburt.

Phil Mickelson Is Back on PGA TOUR but Isn’t The Betting Favorite at Humana Challenge

Las Vegas, Nev. (Jan. 21, 2015)—Hot golfers tend to rise to the top in the betting world…just look at this week’s Humana Challenge tournament as a prime example. Patrick Reed, who won the Hyundai Tournament of Champions on Maui two weeks ago, leads the betting odds at 12-1 according to odds released by GolfOdds.com. It will also be the 2015 debut for Phil Mickelson. PGA TOUR Courses Play Host to SNGA Tournament of Champions: Former Ivy League Golfer Wins

Las Vegas, Nevada (January 15, 2015)--Max Marsico was a star high school golfer at The Meadows School in Las Vegas and then went on to become the captain of the University of Pennsylvania college golf team. Marsico is now back in Las Vegas and has put together two-straight wins in the Southern Nevada Golf Association Championship Series presented by Las Vegas Golf and Tennis. Marsico recently won the Tournament of Champions played at PGA TOUR-owned golf courses TPC Las Vegas and TPC Summerlin, and in December he won the SNGA Championship played at Cascata. --By Brian Hurlburt.

Butch Harmon Very Impressed With Golfweek Award of Las Vegas Golfer Brady Exber

Golf Summerlin Las Vegas Courses Host Holiday Junior Event

Las Vegas, Nevada (December 21, 2014)--With the year winding down, many Las Vegas junior golfers are teeing it up at two of three Las Vegas golf courses in Golf Summerlin for their final tournament rounds of the year. The Summerlin Junior Championship, a tournament on the Southwest Junior Golf Tour, is being played at Palm Valley Golf Club and Highland Falls Golf Club.
