Las Vegas, Nevada (February 1, 2012)--Alvaro Quiros averaged 313 yards in driving distance on the 2011 PGA Tour, good for fifth best. Recently, Quiros "unleashed" his new Callaway RAZR Fit driver and boomed it 310 yards over the Bellagio fountains on the Las Vegas Strip. The public launch of the new adjustable driver is February 17 and it will be available at Callaway Golf Center and the two Las Vegas Golf and Tennis locations. Las Vegas, Nevada (January 9, 2012)--The Las Vegas Golf Region is the home to some of golf's biggest events. And Las Vegas resort course Rio Secco Golf Club, is, many times, the host course. And over the weekend eight of the best American Junior Golf Association junior golfers were at the course divided up into 4-player teams headed up by superstars--and Las Vegas Golf Region residents--Butch Harmon and Natalie Gulbis. Las Vegas, Nevada (December 16, 2011)--Yes, that was Phil Mickelson parking his Chevy SUV in the Callaway Golf Center parking lot, then walking to his appearance at one of Vegas' most popular golf spots. No press agents, handlers, drivers, or anything. Just friendly Phil, parking next to regular Joe Vegas Golfer. Mickelson was in Las Vegas for a few days, along with some other big time Callaway Tour pros, filming commercials for the new RAZR driver and taking part in the Real Results project. Las Vegas, Nevada (November 6, 2011)--PGA Tour veteran and Southern Nevada native Craig Barlow, Long Drive Visionary Art Sellinger, and lady amateur champion Laurie Johnson were inducted into the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame this weekend. It was a varied class of inductees, accented by a guy who said he had traveled to dozens of countries, played and performed with hundreds of Tour pros, but "never had to play my second shot." --By Brian Hurlburt.
