Las Vegas, Nevada (February 22, 2012)--Cascata is a Las Vegas resort course that has earned 29 out of 30 stars in a ZAGAT survey. It is a haven for big Las Vegas events, Tour players, and celebrites. But this week it was the host course of the UNLV Women's Golf Spring Invitational that brought some of the best women college golfers to Las Vegas. Las Vegas, Nevada (February 21, 2012)--Las Vegas Golf Region resident Butch Harmon was on the Jim Rome radio show last week, and definitively answered one of the bigger questions in golf: will Tiger Woods ever return and be coached by Harmon? Las Vegas, Nevada (February 13, 2012)--UNLV Golf has a long history. The team won a NCAA title in 1998 and two Rebels have won individual NCAA titles (Warren Schutte in 1991 and Ryan Moore in 2004). Now Senior Derek Ernst is looking to solidify his name among the best UNLV golfers of all time by solidly finishing out his senior year. Las Vegas, Nevada (February 1, 2012)--Alvaro Quiros averaged 313 yards in driving distance on the 2011 PGA Tour, good for fifth best. Recently, Quiros "unleashed" his new Callaway RAZR Fit driver and boomed it 310 yards over the Bellagio fountains on the Las Vegas Strip. The public launch of the new adjustable driver is February 17 and it will be available at Callaway Golf Center and the two Las Vegas Golf and Tennis locations. And over the weekend eight of the best American Junior Golf Association junior golfers were at the course divided up into 4-player teams headed up by superstars--and Las Vegas Golf Region residents--Butch Harmon and Natalie Gulbis.
