VegasGolfer Magazine reveals UNLV Golf's pursuit of excellence

The UNLV Rebels golf team puts up big numbers, and there are four people behind the program that work together to make UNLV college golf's most sophisticated program.

The UNLV Rebels Men's golf team has been to 16 NCAA Finals, winning one national title, and have also won four NCAA regional titles, six conference championships and 45 tournaments.

Two individuals have won NCAA titles, and 19 players have been recognized as All-Americans a total of 36 times. And more than 20 players have gone on to player professional golf, including Chris Riley and Chad Campbell, who have both played on the United States Ryder Cup team, and Adam Scott, who is one of the world's best pro players.

Golf Las Vegas Now Founding Editor Brian Hurlburt, who also was the co-founder of VegasGolfer Magazine and still writes for the publication, recently went indepth and behind the scenes to give readers a view of the four components that make Rebel golf great.

The UNLV Rebel Golf team home course is Southern Highlands Golf Club, and the team will host their annual tournament March 9-11 at the exclusive, private course that was the last course co-designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Sr.
