. According to tournament officials, 2/3 of the field will be paid and a max of 30 teams will be accepted. Primm Valley Golf Club is located about 35 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, and features the Desert and Lakes golf courses. Both of these Las Vegas golf courses were designed by the legendary Tom Fazio, and feature the beauty, intrigue and challenge for which he is best known. Primm Valley has earned 4.5 stars out of five from Golf Digest and has been on the Top 100 You Can Play List of Golf Magazine, among other awards. If you can't play in this pro-am, you can click now to the official website of Primm Valley Golf Club for more information or to reserve your Las Vegas golf tee times and Las Vegas golf packages. The Lakes Course opened in February of 1997 and was quickly given the ranking as one of the Top Ten Best New Courses that same year by Golf Digest Magazine. The Lakes Course takes you out of the desert and into another world. Complete with dense groves of tall pine trees, an extensive lakes and river system (in play on 11 holes) and acre-upon-acre of beautifully manicured green rye grass interrupted only by numerous bunkers. Generous fairways that slope towards the middle make the course very player friendly, but don’t be fooled. Click now for the official Primm Valley Golf Club photo gallery. The Desert Course opened in May 1998 and was built to showcase the beautiful desert landscaping and providing a stark contrast to the almost-tropical Lakes Course. Slightly more demanding of the player's ability, it measures 7,131 yards with a par of 72. The course is accented with palm and mesquite trees, as well as colorful cactus and desert wildflowers to give it a true desert feeling. Where water was used on the Lakes Course, vast stretches of waste bunkers border the fairways on seven holes. Water does come into play on five holes, and narrow fairways with elevation changes and large, well-bunkered greens test even the most skilled players.
