Las Vegas, Nevada (March 20, 2015)–Las Vegas golf pro Keith Flatt has been around Las Vegas golf for decades, for a long time mostly known as the guy running the operation at Los Prados Golf Club, a fun executive golf course that is often a forgotten part of the Las Vegas golf scene. More recently Flatt has been a partner in Par 4 Golf Management, a company that owns and operates several Las Vegas golf courses including Badlands Golf Club, Silverstone and Spanish Trail, among others. Now, the life story of Flatt is hitting the Hollywood big screen with the release of “The Squeeze” that was directed by longtime golf producer Terry Jastrow and stars Jeremy Sumpter and Chris MacDonald. The release date is April 17 but a premier that is open to the public is planned for April 12 at Wynn Las Vegas where some of the action was filmed. –By Brian Hurlburt.

The premier will take place in the Encore Theatre at the Wynn. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Three Square, Southern Nevada’s only food bank that serves Clark County and surrounding communities. Tickets to the event are on sale now. The Squeeze is a caper about a notorious gambler who discovers a modest young man in a small rural town with uncommon golf skills. Seeing his potential, the gambler convinces him to abandon his dreams of winning the US Open and start playing in high-stakes matches. They don’t lose. The stakes grow higher and higher until the game becomes “life or death.” Flatt is that modest young man.

A who’s who from the golf world have already previewed the movie and have been kind in their comments. “I watched The Squeeze and really enjoyed it,” said Jack Nicklaus, Winner of 18 Major Golf Championships.  “It’s a fun movie that tells an interesting story, and the golf elements are so real you actually believe it could happen.”

Phil Mickelson, a man known for his love of sports betting and action during practice rounds, also enjoyed it: “The Squeeze is a wonderful golf movie because it’s so authentic. It hooks you in the beginning and stays interesting and entertaining right to the end. I’m looking forward to seeing it again.”

Steve Wynn, a longtime friend of Jastrow, also is a fan of the movie. Wynn was also the one who approved the production to take place at his hotel. “The Squeeze has the best poker scene I’ve ever seen in a movie,” said Wynn.  “If you like gambling, golf and Las Vegas, you’ll love this movie.”

Jastrow is a 7 time Emmy Award Winner, Producer/Director of more major championships than anyone (22) and a member Texas Golf Hall of Fame. The movie is the first-ever to be shot on the golf course at Wynn Las Vegas.
