Callaway Golf, PGA TOUR Wounded Warrior Club Fitting Part of Shriners Event

Las Vegas, Nev. (Oct. 22, 2015)–It’s a simple gesture and one from the heart: Callaway Golf is giving back to those who have sacrificed for the United States of America. Wounded veterans Ruben Cervantez and Joe Perez got the full Callaway Golf club fitting treatment at TPC Summerlin as part of the Callaway Warrior Club Fitting  program. Shriners PGA TOUR Vegas Event in Butch Harmon Pro Rickie Fowler’s Future

Las Vegas, Nevada (Sept. 24, 2015)–Rickie Fowler has an affinity for Las Vegas, and that’s probably one of the reasons that it appears as if he will be playing in the PGA TOUR’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open here in October. Las Vegas Golf Hall of Famer Bob May Earns Exemption into Shriners Hospitals for Children Open

Las Vegas, Nevada (August 6, 2014)–Bob May considers Las Vegas home and today he received a call from his hometown tournament with an offer of a sponsor's exemption into the 2014 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. PGA of America Professionals Play 108 Holes at Paiute For Charity

Las Vegas, Nevada (July 29, 2014)–There was a lot to be impressed about when Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort General Manager Chad Gunier and head Golf Professional Tom Fischer played a combined 108 holes for charity recently. Both Gunier and Fischer are respected members of the PGA of America, and played a two-person scramble format during the marathon. Supporters pledged an amount for each birdie the duo made and they ended up recording 38 during their golf journey. All proceeds raised go to benefit the Junior Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) and junior golf programs at the resort. –by Brian Hurlburt.

Las Vegas PGA TOUR Course General Manager Embraces Community Spirit

Las Vegas, Nevada (June 25, 2014)–Dan Hammell not only oversees operations of one of two Las Vegas PGA TOUR owned and operated Las Vegas golf courses, but he is actively involved in the Las Vegas golf community. Hammell, the general manager of TPC Las Vegas, recently was elected to the board of directors of the Southwest Section, Southern Nevada Chapter, PGA of America, and is excited to be back involved after some time away from the board. Las Vegas PGA TOUR Pro Kevin Na At Top of US Open Leaderboard

Las Vegas, Nevada (June 12, 2014)–In 2011, Kevin Na became the first professional with strong ties to Las Vegas to win the hometown PGA TOUR event. Na won the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The following year another hometown pro, Ryan Moore, won the tournament. After one round of the U.S. Open at Pinehurst, Na was at -2 and well inside the top five of the leaderboard. Sad Day In Vegas Golf To Be Relived During Erica Blasberg Civil Trial

Las Vegas, Nevada (May 4, 2014)–One of the saddest days in the history of the Las Vegas golf community will be relived this week when the civil trial over the death of former Las Vegas resident and LPGA Tour star Erica Blasberg begins here in Las Vegas. Blasberg was originally from Southern California but moved to Las Vegas a few years prior to her death, which was ruled a suicide. Blasberg was active in the community. JJ Henry Lights Up TPC Summerlin With Round of 60

Las Vegas, Nevada (October 18, 2013)–J.J. Henry broke the TPC Summerlin course record during round one of Las Vegas' PGA Tour event, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. He recorded nine birdies and an eagle en route to a 60, a year after Las Vegas Golf Region resident Ryan Moore recorded a 61 on the way to the 2012 Vegas title.
