August 14, 2008--Underscoring the PGA Tour’s giving back mission, the Tour's Las Vegas golf courses, TPC Summerlin and TPC Las Vegas, are the sites for a fundraising event that will benefit Birdies for the Brave (B4B) homefront groups that directly serve military men and women, and their families. Click the link for a compelling video about who this event helps. The event is part of Birdies for the Brave (B4B) – the PGA Tour’s national military outreach program supporting the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. Six outstanding B4B homefront groups will benefit from the event including two supported by PGA Tour star Phil Mickelson and one supported by Las Vegas resident and PGA Tour star Nick Watney. The public is invited to play in this Las Vegas golf tournament that is part of a national event that includes 16 other PGA Tour-owned TPC golf courses. The Las Vegas golf event is November 11 at TPC Summerlin, but all participants also receive a certificate to play TPC Las Vegas at a later time.

TPC Las Vegas is a Las Vegas resort golf course designed by PGA Tour Design Services (Bobby Weed) with consultation by Raymond Floyd. The golf course is open to the public, and is a past host of event on both the Champions Tour and PGA Tour. TPC Summerlin is a private Las Vegas golf course that is the host of Las Vegas' PGA Tour event, the Justin Timberlake Shriner's Hospitals for Children Open to be played October 16-19, 2008.

Homes For Our Troops, a non-profit organization supported by TOUR Player Phil Mickelson that modifies or builds new homes designed for military men and women returning to America with serious injuries and disabilities.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a non-profit organization supported by TOUR Player Phil Mickelson dedicated to providing free college scholarships and educational counseling to the children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations personnel lost in performance of their duty.

Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a non-profit organization supported by TOUR Player Rory Sabbatini that serves the families of military personnel lost in performance of their duty.

Naval Special Warfare Foundation, a non-profit group supported by TOUR Player Jerry Kelly dedicated to providing educational and motivational support, promoting health and welfare programs for the Naval Special Warfare community, and perpetuating the history and heritage of the U.S. Naval Commandos.

Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization supported by TOUR Players Frank Lickliter II, Jason Gore and Nick Watney dedicated to providing unique, direct programs and services to meet the specialized needs of severely injured service men and women.
