Las Vegas Golfer and SNGA President Brady Exber Battles at US Senior Open |

 July 6, 2007 (8:30AM, PST)--Local Las Vegas golfer and president of the Southern Nevada Golf Association Brady Exber is off to a great start at the US Senior Open. He fired an opening round of 73, and through six holes of the second round stood at one-over par and in a tie with Marty West and David Anthony as the low amateur in the field. Overall, he was in a tie for 39th. The event marks the first time that Exber has qualified for the US Senior Open. Exber is a member of the Southern Nevada Golf Hall-of-Fame, and has been named the Southern Nevada Golf Association Player of the Year seven times. "My only goal is to play the best I can in every event," Exber has said about his goals when approaching any event, no matter how big or small. "If I shoot the best score I could have, then I passed that test. And that's how I have approached my golf game for the last 20 years." LIVE SCORING ... now.
This year, he has won two events on the Medalist Golf Association Tour, and is leading the SNGA Player of the Year yet again. His most recent win in Southern Nevada came at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, when he won a Medalist event played on the WOLF course. The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is the home of three Pete Dye-designed Las Vegas golf courses.  Exber has played in three US Amateur events, and also in the 1998 and 2003 US Mid Amateur tournaments. Exber, who plays most of his golf at Las Vegas golf course TPC Summerlin, home of the PGA Tour's FRYS.com Open, has recorded two double eagles and 15 career holes-in-one.
