Las Vegas National golf instruction

Las Vegas, Nevada (March 20, 2014)–Las Vegas National Golf Club has a deep history of being a course where some of the top golf professionals in Las Vegas have taught the game. This Las Vegas golf course opened in 1961 and over the years the likes of Charlie Teel and Arthur Nightingale, among others, have helped the golf games of Vegas golfers from the range at National (opened as Stardust CC). Teel was inducted into the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame and Nightlingale was published in Golf Magazine several times. Recently Las Vegas National has entered into a partnership with two more top teaching professionals, Kevin Scroggins and Mitch Kemper. The two offer lessons, camps, ladies clinics and more. He is an accomplished golf instructor and club fitter. He has also played on the mini tours and has built a loyal following in Las Vegas.

Kemper learned the game under Bob Toski and played collegiate golf at UC Santa Barbara. Following college he worked as a teaching pro at Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara as well as teaching forToski and his golf schools. Kemper also caddied for the late, great Payne Stewart from 1982-83. Kemper's notable students include: Bill Gates, Steve Pate (PGA Tour), Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Jason Bateman, and Larry Rinker (PGA Tour).

Las Vegas National Golf Club is located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and has hosted events on the PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour. The course was one of three used during the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational when Tiger Woods earned his first professional win. The course is also the home of the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame.
