Las Vegas National Golf Club Tee Times and Golf Course Guide

What Las Vegas golf course did Tiger Woods play when he won his first PGA Tour event? This course is one of the answers as Las Vegas National played host to the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational that was played at three Las Vegas golf courses that also included TPC Canyons and TPC Summerlin. This is one of Las Vegas’ most historical layouts—Jack Nicklaus and Mickey Wright won here and the Rat Pack (Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr.) hung out here over the years—and still provides a solid test. The par 3 holes are some of the most challenging you will find anywhere, and the finishing par 5, 18th hole is Las Vegas golf at its finest. Las Vegas National is the official home of the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame.

The par 5, 18th hole at Las Vegas National is one of Las Vegas golf’s finest par fives. A lake guards the right while bunkers guard left and in front of the green. Two big shots get players home in two, but most play this hole as a solid three-shot hole. Las Vegas National is very close to the Las Vegas Strip.

GreensKeeper.org Real Golfer Comment:

"I thought this course was awesome. I guess it's under new management, and it was in great shape. Not like the desert style courses in Vegas and Pheonix, it's a classic layout which is tough to find in Vegas. Lots of mature trees to bounce off of, lots of rough to get into, and most of the greens are well guarded by bunkers with white sand. There's some water on this course, too. It's a great track at a good price and it's really close to the strip. Staff was friendly and the clubhouse was good atmosphere, with a museum which I guess is the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame, it was pretty neat. Definitely going back there next time."

This course is one of Las Vegas golf’s most historic layouts. It was built in 1961 by Bert Stamps and has played host to golf’s biggest names and biggest tours including the LPGA Tour and the PGA Tour. Harrah's Golf owns and operates this Las Vegas golf course, and tee times are available for any of their three golf courses in Las Vegas.
