September 24, 2008--Snow Mountain, one of three Las Vegas golf courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, home of the only Las Vegas golf courses designed by Pete Dye, is the host course for the Dye Golf Club Championship October 2-4. Pete Dye twirled his design magic at this Las Vegas golf resort with the creation of the WOLF, Snow Mountain, and Sun Mountain Las Vegas golf courses. Each offer typical Dye flare and challenge.

The 8th annual Pro Am tournament is a 36-hole competition played over two days. One club team will be named the "Dye Club Champions 2008." Most importantly, this year's championship will honor Pete Dye and his Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Among his many contributions to the industry, The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort was the first master-planned, multi-course resort to be developed on Native American land in the United States. Pete Dye designed each of The Paiute's three 18-hole championship Las Vegas golf courses - Snow Mountain (1), Sun Mountain (2) and WOLF (3). Perry Dye teamed with his father to create the WOLF, a one-of-a-kind experience, unique in its own right with its compelling length of 7,604 total yards.

With 30 teams set to tee off on October 3rd, the tournament will bring together pros and players from golf club courses designed by the first family of golf course architecture in tribute to their many contributions to golf and the design of the modern golf course. Teams from the Unites States and international teams, from as far reaching as Italy and Columbia, will be competing. Dye family members Pete and Alice, in addition to P.B., Perry, and Jean, will also be attending this historic event. As of the last minute, Pete and Alice Dye have cancelled their trip for this event, but the championship will still be competed. 10 AM, Sept 29, 2008 PST.
