Las Vegas, Nevada (April 28, 2014)–The 2014 Wells Fargo Championship is being played this weekend and Rory McIlroy opened as the betting favorite in Las Vegas at 8/1. Rory is a betting favorite at the window in Vegas. Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood were the next favorites at 15/1 followed by Justin Rose. Other notables and their Vegas odds for the Wells Fargo Championship were Jim Furyk and Rickie Fowler at 25/1 followed by Las Vegas' Ryan Moore at 30/1 along with Zach Johnson and Jimmie Walker. Walker works with Las Vegas' Butch Harmon.
Rory Mc was also the favorite in the official PGATOUR.com Power Rankings written by Rob Bolton. The top four were basically the same as the Vegas favorites with the top five in the power rankings being Robert Karlson who might have some value in Vegas because his odds were 80/1.
Bolton wrote the following about McIltroy: "Site of breakthrough victory in 2010. Playoff loss in 2012; T10 last year. Owns course record (62). Top 10s in Houston and at the Masters."
