Video footage from a new television commericial is leaking out, and shows Tiger Woods spontaneously tackling an actor with an "Urlacher-esque" hit. Local physical therapist Keith Kleven has long said that Woods is one of the most athletic people he has ever seen. Tiger shows good form in the video. View the video here.
The commerical shows Woods hitting range balls when a fellow golfer begins to steal his pile of practice balls and then steals his golf bag. After reportedly telling the director he was going to improvise something, Woods takes off after the "assailant", and levels hims about 20 yards from the tee.
Woods has trained with Kleven, a member of the Southern Nevada Sports Hall-of-Fame who has worked with the likes of Mike Tyson, Greg Maddux, Mike Maddux, Ryan Moore and many others, for several years, and makes special trips to Kleven's office that is located here in Las Vegas.
The actual workout is kept a secret, but Kleven says that it's clearly evident that Woods is a tremendous athletic specimen.
"In overall balance and structure, he probably exceeds all world-class athletes that I work with," says Kleven. "We have done a lot of things that I haven't done with others. He is very gifted."
Woods also won his first PGA Tour event, the Las Vegas Invitational, in 1996. He got into the tournament on a sponsor's exemption given to him by the Las Vegas Founders.
Woods also regularly tees is up at the exclusive Shadow Creek Golf Club, and holds the course record of 60 at the course.
Tiger Woods' 2007 debut happens at the Buick Invitaional, the fourth week of the PGA Tour season.
