Golf and Craft Beer Fest Weekend is Perfect Match

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (June 5, 2017)–Just when you thought golf couldn’t get any better, along comes the Golf And Craft Beer Festival. That’s right, it’s an official golf and beer event. The festival lets golfers check out some of the latest golf equipment along with some of the best-tasting craft beers. It is set for June 9-10 at the TaylorMade Golf Experience on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. — By Bill Bowman.

But while the beer-tasting portion of the event is limited to those over the age of 21, everyone’s welcome to the festival. The cost is $20 for adults (including the beer tasting), $15 for young adults (13-20) and is free of those 12-under.

The event will be held Friday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. (with beer tasting from 3 p.m.-7 p.m.) and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (with beer tasting from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.).

“We will have a lot of vendors on hand demoing their clubs and equipment and vendors with 10 different craft beers,” said Kyle Kunkel, operations manager. “Plus we’ll have a lot of different specials. Even if you don’t want to do the beer fest part of it, it’s a no-brainer. It’s just a great deal.”

How great? Well, every paid admission receives a free round of golf at Chimera Golf Club, a 2-for-1 outing at the TaylorMade Golf Experience 9-hole course, the chance to demo the latest golf equipment from TaylorMade, Callaway, Mizuno and PXG, clinics, discounts on clothing, clubs, accessories as well as food and drink special pricing. There’s also the chance to sample a variety of beers from brewers such as Goose Island, Golden Road, Kona Brewing, Elysian and Shock Top, a free one-year subscription to Golf Digest and a $25 gift code from TeeOff.com by the PGA Tour.

The TaylorMade Golf Experience includes a 9-hole course (all par 3s that range from between 110 yards and 185 yards). It is also lit for night-time play. The 113-stall, two-tiered hitting area lets players practice either off turf or mats. Before or after the round or practice session, check out the Flight Deck Bar & Grill. From burgers to sandwiches, there’s something on the menu for everyone in your group.
