Las Vegas' own Natalie Gulbis (she actually lives in Henderson) is at the top of the money list and at the top of the calendar sales. Her game speaks for itself, and Natalie is just as happy being compared to Anna Kournakova as Annika Sorenstam.
She lives and and plays at Lake Las Vegas Resort (specifically Reflection Bay Golf Club), and spends much of her down time filming a reality show and being photographed for ad campaigns, magazine covers and, yes, her own calendar.
She completed the 2007 project in October at Lake Las Vegas–in between cover shoots for Golf For Women, a campaign for Life Fitness and a shoot for Lake Las Vegas Resort (she pranced around her front yard in a $52,090 Pucci dress for that one)–and the Natalie Gulbis calendar is out.
It would be one thing if Natalie was just around for her looks, but she backs up the blonde hair and great body with tremendous play, made possible by a rigorous fitness routine, a lot of training at the Butch Harmon School of Golf and a dedication to the game matched by only a few players.
She has finished in the top 10 on the money list in each of the last two years, she represented the United States with stellar play at the Solheim Cup and she recently competed in the Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge played at Lake Las Vegas Resort.
She fired a two-under par 70, but the LPGA fell short as the PGA Tour won the event ("What a bummer," was how she described it.).
And just before Christmas, Natalie participated in the Lexus Cup, an event played in Singapore. The Internation team was captained by Aniika Sorenstam and Gulbis was her second in command.
The team played against an Asian team that was captained by Grace Park. It was close, but the Asian team won. Gulbis then spent the rest of the holidays with her family in Arizona.
