Two longtime Las Vegas Golf Pros recently tied for the title of the Boulder City Municipal Series, an event on the Las Vegas Chapter, PGA tournament schedule. Dolan, who works out of Siena, and Davis, who is the director of instruction of Walters Golf, both fired rounds of 71. The two tied for the Senior and Regular Division titles.
The Las Vegas Chapter, PGA events are played at many area courses, with pros from nearly every course playing in them. Upcoming events are the Red Rock Pro-Member, Rhodes Ranch Pro-Pro, The Falls Senior Match Play and the Nellis Pro-Am.
Davis was also recently recognized as a Top 100 Teaching Professional by GOLF Magazine. And Dolan is one of the most prominent local teaching professionals having worked with many area players over the years. For years, he was a pro at Las Vegas Golf Club.
The win vaulted Dolan into the lead on the season-long points lists. Dolan TPC Canyons pro Dan Hammel by about 125 points, 302.2 to 177.8. Dolan also leads the senior division by more than 100 points. David Barnhart is in second place.
Dolan also leads in scoring average in both divisions with an average of 71.40. Davis is second at 71.5. Travis Long, the 2006 Player of the Year, is third in the regular division at 72.5.
