According to a high-ranking Las Vegas gaming executive, the combination of the NBA All-Star game and the Chinese New Year will make this weekend "three times as big as anything Las Vegas has ever seen." That's saying something considering how big New Years, Super Bowl and March Madness events are. And the good news for golfers is that golf is right in the middle of much of the celebration, with an event hosted by Boston Celtic Paul Pierce at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort just one of several All Star golf events. On Saturday, Feb. 17, the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort will host the Black History Month Golf Event that is organized by the Paul Pierce Truth Fund Charity with proceeds benefiting the One Hundred Black Men Academy, Andre Agassi Academy, Booker Elementary School and The Young Professionals of the Urban League.

Scheduled to play are NBA players and other celebrities including Pierce, George Clinton and Marcus Haynes. The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is the home of three Pete Dye world class golf courses: the WOLF, Snow Mountain and Sun Mountain. Spots are only $300 and with that you have a chance to play with an NBA legend or other celebrity.

Other events include the All Star Classic Golfing with the Legends event at TPC Canyons with scheduled golfers including Julius Erving, George Gervin and Rick Barry.

And Athletes In Action hosts an event at DragonRidge Country Club with scheduled participants including Jerry Colangelo and Kevin Sorbo among others.
