The UNLV Lady Rebels Golf Team have become one of the better teams in the country since the program debuted less than a decade ago. The Rebels have been ranked in the top 20, currently are number 30 as ranked by Golfweek and have competed in the NCAA Finals and have been conference champions. But the Lady Rebs couldn't tackle the rest of the field at the UNLV Spring Invitational played at the fun Boulder Creek Golf Club, one of Las Vegas Golf's more enjoyable courses. The Lady Rebs shot a combined even par final round to finish fifth in their own event.

These ladies of Las Vegas golf have the opportunity to play and practice at many Las Vegas golf courses including Rio Secco Golf Club, Boulder Creek, Reflection Bay Golf and Legacy Golf Club, among others.

The Rebels finished the tournament with a team score of 873 (+9) on the par-72, 6,199-yard course. BYU easily took home team honors with a team total a 17-under par 847, 10 strokes ahead of second-place New Mexico, which carded a team total of 857 (-10). Kelly Nakashima of Idaho and Jennifer Shipley of Fresno State shared medalist honors with a three-round total of 205 (-11).

UNLV was paced individually by sophomore Da Sol Chung, who fired a one-under 71 on the day to finish with a total of 215 (-1), which put her in a tie for 14th. It was the second-straight sub-par round she shot after carding a four-under 68 on Tuesday.
