Las Vegas is kind of like Kevin Bacon. No matter what, in some number of degrees, everything has some kind of tie or relationship with Las Vegas. You know, like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon theory. In this case, 2007 Masters Champion Zach Johnson was a member of the winning team of the made-for-television Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge played at the fantastic Las Vegas golf course Reflection Bay Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas Resort. On the LPGA Tour team was none other than Las Vegas' own Natalie Gulbis. So there it is, Johnson's tie to what VegasGolfer Magazine calls the World's Most Exciting Golf Destination.
Reflection Bay Golf Club is 18 holes of amazing Jack Nicklaus golf beauty that dances along 1.5 miles of Lake Las Vegas shoreline. The holes meander through the homes of the North Shore of the resort, and also comes tantalizingly close to the Hyatt Resort. In fact, the 8th green and 9th tee box are placed within inches of the Hyatt Lagoon and within wedge distance of the Hyatt Beach and pool area.

Johnson fired a 5-under par 67 during the Wendy's event played last November and televised in December. He joined fellow Ryder Cup team member Stewart Cink and Ryder Cup captain Tom Lehman on the PGA Tour team that defeated the LPGA Tour team of Lake Las Vegas Resident Natalie Gulbis, Christie Kerr and Juli Inkster, and the Champions Tour team of Tom Kite, Craig Stadler and Jay Haas.
