April 27, 2007–Tommy Armour III, one of the most flamboyant PGA Tour pros in the history of the game, was in the top 40 after the first round of his adopted home state event, the EDS Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Texas. Armour III, who dresses flashy and parties even flashier, annually throws a pre-tournament bash that has featured near-naked women as sushi platters, great entertainment, and a guest list that is a who's who of the PGA Tour and the Dallas area. Other Las Vegas pros teeing it up this week include Ryan Moore, Dean Wilson, Chad Campbell and Charley Hoffman. Armour III played high school golf here in Las Vegas at Bishop Gorman.
All of the Las Vegas golf pros have played and practiced at many of the area's best golf courses including Las Vegas National Golf Club, Rio Secco Golf Club, Cascata Golf Club, Tuscany Golf Club, The Revere at Anthem, Badlands Golf Club, Las Vegas Golf Club, Southern Highlands Golf Club, TPC Canyons, Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, Bali Hai Golf Club, Royal Links Golf Club, Desert Pines Golf Club and others.
