August 15, 2007–The Butch Harmon Vegas Tour, one of golf's various mini tours, is coming down the home stretch, and through eight events former UNLV Rebel Bill Lunde is the money leader with more than $65,000 earned. There are two more events before the 2007 tour culminates August 27-30 with the playing of the Tour Championship at one of the best Las Vegas golf courses, Cascata. Lunde basically gave up the game last year and took a job selling sponsorships for the PGA Tour's Las Vegas event the FRYS.com Open, but is back in the game and playing well. Other top Las Vegas golf courses that have hosted Butch Harmon Vegas Tour events include Rio Secco Golf Club, Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, and the Revere Golf Club, among others.
"I have been very impressed with the level of competition among our BHVT members," Harmon is quoted as saying. "I enjoy going out to the events, watching quality shots and seeing how the players respond in the Tournament atmosphere."

The Tour Championship will be played with a pro-am event, and spots for amateurs are available.
