October 3, 2007–Lou Ferrigno, Kevin Sorbo, Nick Faldo, and many other big names are scheduled to be in Las Vegas for Danny Gans' Partee Fore Kids presented by Southern Nevada Toyota Dealers, that raises funds for The First Tee of Southern Nevada and the Danny Gans Junior Golf Academy. The golf/entertainment event will kick off with a special evening at The Mirage on October 28 where the inaugural members of the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Hall of Fame (Stephanie Louden and Jim Colbert) will be inducted, followed by an evening of entertainment from Gans, Louie Anderson, Lance Burton, Kenny Rankin and Sante Fe, among other surprises. Tickets for the show start at $35 while special VIP packages can be secured for $250 that include access to the special celebrity PARTEE. Limited playing spots remain in the golf event to be held at Anthem Country Club on Monday, October 28.
Gans has been named Entertainer of the Year in Las Vegas many times, and now plays to sold out crowds in the Danny Gans Theatre at The Mirage. But what some folks don't see behind the man of many voices is how he works to help Las Vegas charities including Lili Claire, Opportunity Village and the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, among others. The golf organization is near and dear to his heart because Gans is a single-digit golfer, and sees the positives the game can instill in children. The First Tee of Southern Nevada operates several Danny Gans Junior Golf Academies around the valley, introducing kids to the best in life through the game of golf annually.
The First Tee of Southern Nevada is the leading youth golf organization in Southern Nevada that enriches lives and develops better citizens, ensures that participants learn the fundamentals of the golf and its inherent values by providing affordable and accessible golf experiences including the life skills curriculum based "Golf Fore Kids" development program, the SNJGA Tour competitive tournament program, and the "Driving the Dream" scholarship program for higher education.
The public is invited to play and participate in Danny Gans’ Partee Fore Kids, and teams and sponsorships are available for purchase. Past notables who have played in the event include Greg Maddux, Mike Maddux, Kate Linder, Ryan Moore, Rita Rudner, Don Shula, Robert Gamez, Chris Riley, Craig Barlow, and Randall Cunningham, among others.
