Image December 19, 2007–Longtime Las Vegas amateur golfer and current Southern Nevada Golf Association President Brady Exber has won the 2007 SNGA Player of the Year award for a record eighth time. Exber, already an inductee into the Southern Nevada Golf Hall of Fame, also won the award in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004. Exber beat out Craig Junio and 2006 Player of the Year Adam Tebbs in the season-long points battle to win the 2007 award.

The Southern Nevada Golf Association is the arm of the United States Golf Association here in the Las Vegas area, and they play many events annually on many Las Vegas golf courses. Exber earned the title in the championship division.

Exber's good friend and another longtime amateur player–himself the SNGA Player of the Year in 1989, 1990 and 1995–Frank Acker, earned his first Senior Division SNGA Player of the Year title. Acker bested Steve Paulsen and Bob Martin to win.

In the net division, Jimmy Bradley collected his second SNGA Player of the Year title (2004) by beating out 2006 Net Player of the Year Dean Collins and Paudie O' Connor.

The 2008 SNGA Schedule has been released and features events at Las Vegas golf courses The Revere Golf Club, Legacy Golf Club, Las Vegas Golf Club, Aliante Golf Club, Boulder City Golf Club and Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, among others. The events are open to amateur golfers in the Las Vegas area who have a registered handicap.
